Writing style & Contextual information

The book is written in two different writing styles, an uneducated and a bit easy to understand vocabulary which is obviously noticeable in the first part where the novel is written from the perspective of Frederick. The second writing style is a some kind of a contrast to that of Frederick, it is a more educated writing style with more difficult words and more in depth sentences, what I mean by that is that the sentences are not so straightforward as those of Frederick, but they are well thought out and they serve various meanings. Later in the novel when Miranda is getting sick her writing style shifts from hopeful to desperate, she is coping with the fact that she is maybe not going to survive her struggle.
